Minaki on the Winnipeg River System

Located about 45 minutes north of Kenora, Minaki, Ontario is a beautiful resort town. Take Highway 596 north off of the Kenora By-pass (Highway 17A). The region has a number of quality resorts, lodges and campgrounds. Area lakes and rivers, including the mighty Winnipeg and English River Systems, offer tremendous fishing for walleye, muskie, northern pike and bass. Minaki also has some great cross-country ski and mountain bike trails and is an ideal area to do some serious rock climbing.

Moose, Deer and Bear Hunting

Hunting opportunites are some of the best in Ontario with large populations of deer, black bear and huge moose in the areas north of the town. There are many drive-in and boat-in resorts in the Minaki Area and there is a runway and waterbase from which to access the many fly in lakes north of town.
